The Art of a Deal

The world of business is rough and cut throat.

You are the only one who matters.

We’ve heard this word a lot in the last year, “deal”. What is it that comes to mind? How is it that some make it big while others become broke?

Instill enough uncertainty and doubt in your target to knock them off their game while still showing them a demeanor of willingness. You’re willing to work with them, you’re willing to hear their concerns and wants. You have to show them how any other choice they think is available to them is selling themselves short and undervaluing their true worth. The uncertainty and doubt will make them care less about their initial wants and needs and they will settle for a less than beneficial outcome for themselves. You need to craft a situation for your target where doing anything but making a deal with you will prove to be a net loss for them. In this way you end up maintaining contact with them as well as coming out on top. The key here is maintaining a positive rapport so you can use them in the future. This would be your first deal, and possibly the hardest one. However, with the strength of this first target on your side, you will have more ammunition for the next deal.

There is another way to go about a deal. You find out what people want, clearly and factually. You’re initial goal may be for something else, but you must be able to see where the target has their eyes focused. There’s always more want than need in most people, the trick is to take advantage of someone’s wants to procure something someone else needs. Many have their wants and needs mixed up, this is a shell game you can take advantage of. You have to let the target see you speaking with and dealing with people they know owns what they want/need. Then you say you might be able to help your target out, if and only if, they help you out first. This can be done in many ways, one such way is; Promising to help them get their dream job or to pay for their medical bills if they help you get into a position of power.

My question to you now is; in this scenario, which are you and which is Trump? Honestly ask yourself flat-out, without delusions, who is the target?

Greed

Money is a hindrance to those who don’t have it. and a pair of blinders to those who do have it.

Think, what is the main cause for poverty? Lack of money. What can lead to abuse of power? Too much money. What can cause one person to do harm to another person for seemingly no reason? Money.

In my sickly state of bed ridden-dom…(new term >.>)  I came across a thought. Money is disgusting. A man made construct put into place, but for what reason? So we can get something someone else has? What group thought session lead to thinking that ownership of an object could come from trading something one person values for something else another person values?

Excuse me for my ignorance but isn’t everything we use on this planet property of the planet? If you really want to get into ownership that is, the planet was here before us. Its bigger than us, and can kill us when is has a stomach ache. Yet we treat it as an inanimate object which we defile and rape to our minds content. So again I ask, what would happen if money didn’t exist? Would people be forced to hoard things for themselves? And when i say money i mean any bartering system. What if farmers farmed because they loved to do it and did not have to worry about a bank foreclosing on the land? What if chef’s only had the rivalry of recipe superiority to drive them to cook instead of putting food on their own table? what if an engineer wasn’t some person who sold their idea or was afraid of their idea being stolen but was glad to share their inventions and designs with other just because they knew it would help everyone? Without money where would ownership come from? If no one owns anything then, how can stealing occur?

When you get right down to it i can’t understand the superiority complex people have. For me it’s unconscionable. We force others to feel pain, and anguish to fulfill our own selfish needs yet when you get down to it how long will that good feeling last before it dries up? It’s nothing more than a temporary fix for something that is essentially wrong. Not just with one person but as of society today a sickening number of the global population. There’s nothing wrong with competition it can make people better but many times people lose sight of their original goal and before you know it we have something like money instated to bring order? But wait where the hell did that come from, how did i just go from money to some tree hugging hippie fantasy world back to money? It is like this, I come from simple thinking, money though not being the only root of evil, is very certainly a cancer that has grown in the world.  It’s painfully clear to me how we don’t need money, its more curious to me why no one has been able to seriously bring it into discussion?

Dreams, it is this word that is used to describe such thought. That they are only unattainable dreams that hold no weight in society. It truly does pain me when i read what goes on in the world and when thoughts like i have expressed are said to be the stuff of dreams. To me it seems we have allowed ourselves to live in a nightmare where death is around every corner and so few people are able to actually see the beauty of life. Am i ignorant and childish in my thinking? How is it that people have lost sight of what is important? How is it people who live on the same planet can hate each other with such malice that it breeds a horrifying concept such as war? Where did we go wrong? How do we let such finite simplistic ideals govern our lives when we can be and do so much better?

Who, what, when, where, why, and how, these are my questions for our current state of living. But they are also my questions for the right track to come up. They say you are a product of your surroundings, if that’s the case then what does this say about me and my surroundings? Furthermore, what does it say about the people of this planet as a whole?

Intuition Or Indifference

If I should disappear before days end,

let it be known it was for a friend.

or a cause I felt deep inside,

a feeling of which I could no longer hide.

if you should call and I do not answer,

let it be known it was just a cancer.

one not of the body, but of humanity,

that has rooted itself inside of the people,

for that one day we started to notice,

that things around us were not salubrious.

What’s the point to Greed?

Now take it down, I mean way down. Just take off your blinders and revel in the world around you. It’s both fascinating and terrifying in many different and sometimes in the same ways. This planet, our lives, are very beings are psychotically, and beautifully amazing! Have you ever taken the time to fully appreciate any thing you use, or even do, during your day-to-day?

Take a breath, you’ve just blinked, these are the wonders of life. Everything in our natural world should be acknowledged! But we strive to control, and we work to understand in the worst of ways. It is because human kind can’t comprehend our existence we strive to create things we can use to destroy. We find destruction so amusing because it lets us see things simplified. Like that guy said in the movie “Sin City” by Frank Miller, “Once you’ve seen what a few explosives can do to a pub, a little bang bang’s not gonna cut it anymore.” Now my theme has been spoken and said before, We keep inventing new ways to destroy ourselves. But why do we continue down this destructive path? I’ve come to a few possible conclusions.

We’re either afraid of life and we can’t stand living it, or we want to be able to control some small aspect of it, to maybe spark an enlightening in ourselves. Both can and have led to our current situation. (The human populace of year 2011A.D.)

Now, don’t get me wrong on this next bit cuz I love a good anime, song, or movie as much as the next person, but we allow ourselves to become so disgustingly engrossed in them we fail to see the adventure our own lives and planet has for us. We say we’ve uncovered the entire planet and there’s nothing left for us on this rock but I haven’t been to the Bonneville salt Flats, or Timbuktu!

However we corral ourselves in cities and townships behind gates and walls hiding from the very world around us. And to make matters worse we try to demonize ourselves so the rest of the world doesn’t seem as frightening, and that more than anything makes me sad. Something even worse being that, we’ve closed the world off from ourselves by means of greed. We need to barter for anything that can move us along through our lives, so some of us get stuck in our jobs and allow ourselves to be happy with what we have. Don’t get me wrong its great to be happy with what you’ve got, but why do people sell themselves short?

Call me crazy but what if, and just what if! People helped each other out just for shits and giggles? You run into someone who wants to move to Japan? Why not hook em up with that guy you met who has access to a plane? Or you know someone who’s wanted to go camping since forever but has had no one to go with, why not tell him about that group of hikers you met? Why did we have to lower the experience of life to  nothing is free. Hell what if everything was free? Would that really be so bad?
